Bringing together some of the best names in contemporary cooking, it featured 23 chefs on the grill, Jenny Lau (Celestial Peach) curated the 16 Salad Squad chefs, 6 desert contributors, and condiments and drinks by some of the UK’s best independent restaurants and vendors. Cookware, serveware and fresh veggies were provided by Weber Grills, Vegware, and Herbert Greengrocers. There were live DJs throughout the day, and a grand raffle as the finale, with prices from over 30 generous donors.
Sue served as lead organiser, working alongside a brilliant core team – Siu Yen Lo, Tintin Jonsson, Jess Ho, Andrew Corbin – along with ESEACC team members and the many volunteers who contributed their time, enthusiasm and expertise. Photographers Darren Tsang and Nandal Seo documented the day for ESEACC, and posters and graphics were designed by Siu Yen Lo.
The event was attended by over 365 people, and raised £14,000 for ESEACC, with proceeds split between the ESEACC Luncheon Club and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
